Islamic artists have consistently devised innovative ideas to adorn Islamic buildings, the Quran, and several other Muslim landmarks. Even though Islam bans the depiction of living organisms in art, Muslims cannot abandon the world of art. Consequently, they came up with alternate solutions that startled the world and proved that Muslims are really quite imaginative.
Islamic art includes floral art, geometric figures, calligraphy, and illumination. Initially, calligraphy was used excessively in Islamic art, particularly in the Quran enlightenment. The Arabic calligraphy art, which originated with the need to produce ornamented Qurans, was subsequently used to adorn contemporary Islamic art and Muslim architecture. Along with art, it is commonly observed in books’ manuscript ornamentation.
Over time, innovation in the world of art begins to emerge. Subsequently, Muslim artisans began to adorn the Quran’s cover and initial pages with shimmering gold color to provide radiance to Allah’s message literally. The embellishments on the cover and script of the Quran boost readability and are a religious gesture of devotion.
You have often seen illuminated geometric patterns and calligraphy text on the cover page of the Quran. How beautiful these appear and often serve as a stimulus for you to read Quran more often. I believe an artwork displaying the Quran Manuscript Cover page will give a contemporary look to your walls. Do you believe that too?
In light of this, I have created this artwork of Manuscript Pattern Fusion, in which I have created the illuminated cover page of the Quran. I have used contrasting color combinations and intricate geometric and floral patterns in this artwork that are perfect for giving your walls a distinctive look.
