We cannot adequately express the magnificence of this symbol of enduring love, a famous, stunning, and spectacular accomplishment of Mughal architecture. Shah Jahan built this magnificent monument in memory of his beloved wife, who died while giving birth to their fourteenth child. The Taj Mahal is, without a doubt, the most stunning structure in Agra, India.
The Taj Mahal's architectural design is an incredible fusion of the most marvelous infrastructures from throughout the globe. It incorporates structural influences from various kingdoms, notably Indian, Ottomans, Muslims, Moroccans, Turks etc. The king's goal was to construct something outstanding that no one else could build, expressing his deep love for his wife.
Approximately 20,000 craftsmen, stonemasons, sculptors, and other artisans were recruited to work on the Taj Mahal's design and building. All sides of the Taj Mahal were created using an identical symmetrical pattern so that from all sides, it gives the same stunning view to its spectators.
The building is completely coated in white marble, giving it a stunning appearance. This white-marbled structure is capped by a hemispherical dome and four similar size minarets. The monument is embellished with Quranic calligraphy inscriptions, and flower decorations and patterns can be found throughout.
Altogether, this design conveys a beautiful impression of equilibrium and symmetry among the different structures of Mughal Architecture, in addition to an overwhelming sense of serenity. Moreover, the white marbles used in its design reflect sunlight or moonlight. As a result, the Taj Mahal may appear in different colors at various times of the day.
