Muslims have always possessed a distinct aesthetic sense. Unique and exquisite buildings and calligraphy designs can be observed throughout Islamic history. Arabic calligraphy is also the most renowned and well-liked style of artwork in the Muslim world. Tughra-style calligraphy was one of Muslims' most difficult, skilled, and detailed calligraphy forms.
If we dig into Tughra's history, we can see that this style was influenced by the Ottoman second ruler's official signature. In the Ottoman period, it was utilised as a seal on legal documentation and coins. This style was kept difficult and followed strict rules to prevent corruption in official notices.
This design is also associated with various tales, such as the myth that it was invented when an uneducated ruler dipped his three fingers in ink and moved them all over the page to sign an official document. Whatever the cause, no one can dispute that this style is visually stunning and appealing to its viewers. It follows a distinct pattern of two extensions, two ovals, and three vertical lines in a certain direction.
It is an asset of Muslim Calligraphy that we should be proud to have. Being a calligraphy artist, I have also tried to create amazing artwork using the Tughra Calligraphic style that says " Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm", meaning "Starting with the name of Allah who is most beneficent and merciful".
This sentence has special significance in the hearts of Muslims. As Muslims, we believe that we should begin and end every aspect of our life with Bismillah. By doing so, Allah Almighty adds Barkat to all our work, ensuring that it is accomplished smoothly and without difficulty. But we frequently forget to say Bismillah.
Therefore, this Bismillah written in Ottoman Tughra style artwork will give you a constant reminder to say Bismillah before any work. Also, it is aesthetically very beautiful, which will add to the beauty of your living area, bedroom, dining area etc. It is also ideal for gifting to a friend; it will undoubtedly bring Barkat to your and your friends' lives. So, Order now our beautifully designed Bismillah Tughra-style artwork.
